Creating Personal Accountability

The Key to Getting Results

Educator: Linda Galindo

Venue: The Arcadian Loft, Toronto

Date: August 14th, 2018

Time: 9:00am – 3:30pm

The Event

Performance, personally and organizationally, lies in our ability to plan and then execute.

Many of us are faced with downstream issues steaming from a lack of accountability.  Most performance issues, tough conversations and missed deadlines are a direct result of not having a sufficient framework in place to have an accountability discussion.

This session is designed to provide a framework and roadmap to create clear agreements and manage expectations.  By creating a clear understanding of accountability Linda will provide participants with the tools to evaluate their accountability mindset, hold themselves and other to account and achieve peak performance by staying accountable.

The Outcomes

In this session, participants will learn how to:

  1. Apply a new constructive definition of accountability to your day-to-day work life.
  2. Evaluate your accountability mindset.
  3. Overcome barriers to being and staying accountable.
  4. Learn to make clear agreements and manage expectations.
  5. Decline taking on additional commitments to avoid negative results.
  6. Hold others accountable for agreements in a way that minimizes conflict and encourages growth and development.

Your Educator

Linda Galindo is a fierce advocate for personal accountability. She wants to create a world in which everyone, regardless of circumstances or position, is accountable for their results. Galindo’s mission is to help others to find the courage to see, hear and tell their own truth so they can live fully accountable lives.
After years as a journalist covering government and business, Linda Galindo was fed up covering stories focused on a lack of accountability. She left journalism and decided to do something about it.

Today, Galindo speaks, writes and consults internationally, teaching the principles of personal accountability. She looks for the hidden places where lack of accountability flourishes – often masked by ‘the culture’ – and shines light on them. With humor, directness and compassion, she calls out the truth.

Her clients include some of the world’s most notable corporations, health care systems, government entities and educational institutions, as well as entrepreneurial companies and non-profits. Clients include: Genentech, Autodesk, Abbott and the YMCA…to name just a few.

She is a Faculty Member for the Governance Institute and served a six-year term as a Board Member for the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) Center for the Public Trust. She was the content consultant for CRM Learning’s best selling video training on workforce accountability titled “Accountability That Works!” and Pfieffer’s training material for “The Accountability Experience.” She is the author of Way to Grow! Cultivating the Weeds, Daisies and Orchids in Your Organization, The 85% Solution; How Personal Accountability Guarantees Success – No Nonsense, No Excuses, and co-author of Where Winners Live (WILEY, 2013).
